twobees 's fic - Hazue's Notebook, which means that the main idea - of confession - is not entirely mine. Also, I don't know whether it's IC or not. XD
It’s like saying that he’s getting married, only not really, because what he’s basically telling them is that he’s never going to get married. Unless he will move to America, but it’s silly and he will never do it, he doesn’t even want to. Japan is his home and even if he will become pro – and he will, for sure – he won’t leave it. If – when – he becomes pro, he will be Japanese pro.
His mind is racing, he realizes, and it’s racing in wrong direction. He gathers courage and looks up – to their faces. Their disbelief is evident and their expressions are clearly shocked, but not blank. And he’s grateful and foolishly relieved, because shock – he can deal with it, he has to, somehow. Blank would be unbearable.
Shock is somewhat expected. When your son tells you that he’s got a boyfriend and that it’s not just some kind of an excess or whim, that their relationship is serious – it’s normal to be shocked.
Slowly the disbelief leaves their faces – he’s not a type that jokes easily, let alone make such jokes and they know it well. The stupefaction is still there and they’re far from being happy, but they’re willing to listen.
Inui is here with him. He didn’t ask him to come along or help him with this confession. He wouldn’t be a man if he wasn’t ready to deal with it himself, but Inui insisted and he wasn’t really against him coming anyway. And now when he is by his side – quiet and letting Kaidoh do it as it should be done – his presence calms him and Inui doesn’t have to do anything to help, because the mere fact that he is here and now helps him face his parents.
They listen carefully and don’t interrupt. His father looks like he wants to say something several times, but his mother stops him – laying her hand on his. And Kaidoh is even more grateful, because it’s already hard as it is and he doesn’t think that he could resume his speech – for lack of better word – should he be stopped even once.
They sit here for an hour, probably more, and now it’s a talk. They ask questions either to him or Inui. There are answers and some things that can’t be answered and explained, not yet. They talk about how they feel about it. They struggle – with words, with emotions – but so does he.
It’s hard for them all, it’s tiring, but he needs them to understand – not to accept, because acceptance will come later if at all.
He hopes – he dares to hope – that it will, someday.
Now, though, is time for words, explanations and silence. Next hour goes by and it’s followed by one more. For today it’s over. Inui goes home, but today they won’t talk about it anymore. It’s still to raw and too new for them. And there’s still time.
He’s not getting married and he’s never going to be, but maybe it’s all aright. Maybe they will be all right with it. He hopes.

Also, it'd be really nice if someone told me how to make my entries look like this (Read this fic by the way, it's great~). Is it possible to make it just plain text, without layout showing etc. when you have free acount?
