LOL in the UK grammar schools are single-sex selective schools. They're considered 'elite' places but most of our teachers were drunk or crazy or both, so I'm not sure I learned anything useful there o_O except Latin, I liked that :D
Ah no, I didn't do literature ^^ My undergrad was in Ancient History, then I did an MPhil in Greek Archaeology and my PhD is in an obscure subject in the field of Classical Archaeology with a focus on iconography and philology. It was much more exciting than it sounds XD
